    I thought the Ukrainian was the first person at first, but I think they're the second person. The telltale sign was the ) lol.

    They were having parties on the streets of Kiev while Russian-speaking Ukrainians in the Donbass were being kidnapped off the streets to get 2 months of training and then shipped off to the front. It's a big country, geographically speaking. And there's definitely a part of the country that's having it easy, I mean, they're so far from the front there might as well be peace for them

      There were parties and working nightclubs in Odessa even with the airstrikes. Probably still are, I haven't checked

        I have DJ Mag in my RSS feed and it seems like every 6-8 weeks there is an article about a new club opening somewhere in the Ukraine

        I think they just want to party and not be depressed by their sad situation. Probably making the best of a bad situation.

      Yeah, but you forget, the journalist is an expert from the west. Which means they automatically know more about a country they've spent 6 weeks in than people who have lived their their entire lives.
