I think a decent comparison is the Afghanistan withdrawal and immediate collapse of the U.S. puppet government, but one big difference is Afghanistan had been on the media's back burner for years at that point.
Aren't they still pretending the Afghanistan withdrawal was organised (or the fault of Trump)? Plus I vaguely recall the libs coping for a while by wanking the ousted president's son (?) who was supposedly leading some militia?
