What the FUCK could be causing my internet to have packet loss ONLY when it is dark outside. I know it is not an issue with my equipment or the ISP itself, we have checked and changed everything we can, and I am losing my fucking mind.

The closest thing I could think of is a short in one of the lines and something with the street lights, and in that case, how do I get someone to fix it, because my ISP refuses to help me anymore and I'm basically wasting money on internet that won't even work while I'm awake.

I remember you talking about this a month or two ago. Still no luck, eh? That sucks.

Did you ever look into shielded CAT-6 cable runs for your ethernet cables? If it's some kind of EM interference (e.g., from street lights), that may alleviate some of it. It won't help if the equipment itself (modem and router) isn't shielded, though.

I'm half-wondering if you have a HAM radio operator or someone with a CB in or near your building. The signals from those typically bounce around a lot worse at night, and a strong enough radio transmitter can definitely fuck with your equipment; that's probably more likely than a street light. Edit: old tube TVs and monitors can do it, too: https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2020/09/old-tv-set-interfered-with-villages-dsl-internet-each-day-for-18-months/

What's your cell signal like when your ethernet and WiFi start twitching out?

Signal is fine and I've got a cable on it's way (tbh I had forgot). Is there any way to protect against HAM or such?

I just don't understand why it became such a sudden issue only recently
