    Just to further complicate things, you’ve also got the labour aristocracy, who are essentially proletarians who are (simply put) bribed to act against their class interests and defend the bourgeoisie against the proletariat.

          I kind of think of them as something functionally different entirely, but technically they are highly paid proletariet. They are, however much more likely to side with the Bourgeoisie than a highly paid professional, as their job is to protect the Bourgeoisie's interest in capital. They mostly enforce private property laws.
