My friends and I have been setting up a Food Not Bombs chapter in our city, and just last weekend we sent out our first 30 meals! It was surprising how easy it is, we have plans for future actions as well so im pretty hopeful that things are gonna go well.

I started with just myself and two friends, although due to circumstance is ended up being mostly myself. Its a really good idea to volunteer with the people who are already doing this kind of work to start networking so your already on the right track!

The way I thought about it is that there are three steps: sourcing ingredients, making meals, and serving them. So I started by asking someone I knew was active in the community with this kind of work where we could serve food and they got me in touch with a church that does a daily meal (if you don't know anyone a church or temple is a pretty good start, also try getting in touch with already existing food banks). Then I just made a small gofundme to buy the ingredients and made the meals in my kitchen. And that's pretty much all its been for the past couple weeks.

Im not sure how else to grow the group cause it seems like there's not a lot of zeitgeist, I think ill start trying to talk to other groups and see if I can start building a network you know? If you have any more questions feel free to ask!
