After reading that thing about the feds getting tied up in the so called cancel culture and confused as fuck about anarchist/leftist twitter having no hierarchy, i don't think anyone can in good faith say posting can't be praxis. obviously if that is all you do it means jack shit, but posting is pretty important in a lot of ways, but for sure some people get hung up on thinking it's the most important thing, which is indefensible
I think what it is, is that it's often hard to tell when leftist shitposting has a lasting effect, and when it's just shitposting.
And usually, it's simply the latter.
So, like, maybe making shitty memes and tweets will achieve something of value. It's possible.
But the person who unironically thinks their shitty memes and tweets specifically will, deserves mockery and derisive laughter, I guess.
Memes are unironically good for planting seeds in low info or otherwise apolitical people or just young folks. The alt right figured that out early on and tbh I think the left has now outpaced the right with both humor, amount of memes, and the sheer diversity of content being memeed about -- cause there is a lot of leftist theory compared to the reactionary right and their One Joke™️
But you're absolutely right, without any further thought put into what happens after they read those memes they don't do much by themselves and certainly feels like a Vaush like liberal to believe that memes alone or streaming is all the praxis a person should do. I still believe circulation of good lefty memes is both fun and can have benefits in getting people more aware of things. One of my favorite examples are the format like, "Did you know Obama gave a hospital in Afghanistan a gift of a lifetime? Google Obama Kunduz hospital to see it."
I think those, among others that are quick and important info everyone should be aware of that engage the reader in learning more are one of the best.
And they say that posting isn't praxis.
