How we doing, folks? What have you read? What have you baked? Any good holiday horror stories? Leave a comment and give some visibility to our beloved anarKiddy Corner.
Really this is just an excuse to get someone smart to explain theory to someone with a tiny pea brain (me). Finally got around to reading Ocalan after it was linked in a megathread. A lot went over my head, but I'm especially interested in learning more about principle 2 in "IV. Principles of Democratic Confederalism." What the heck is a "cultural organizational blueprint of a democratic nation," and what makes it different from a state? :chonky-bear:
“cultural organizational blueprint of a democratic nation,” means that democratic confederalism is just a method of how inhabitants of nations (I don't know if this is the right word for it) should organize themselves. Because it's cultural, by definition it is the opposite of a state, as it suggests that this method is practiced and enforced by the people themselves.
Cool, thanks for following up. I think I get it now - it's like a blueprint for how citizens can organize as a unit and then confederate, as opposed to something like the U.S. Constitution that creates a full-fledged state?
Basically.
