Our power grid is so fragile that taking out about a dozen specific sub stations would wipe power out for most of the country for upwards of 18 months assuming we had full use of the military to begin repairs. In that time it's estimated 80% of the population would die. Unfortunately it would be all the poorer, working class people as the rish would jump ship and/or hide away.
