If there's anything not protected by DemCent or OpSec, I will try to answer.

After this debacle, I thought maybe I could clear things up:

Idk, I'm just a lowly dwarf planet.

¯_(ツ)_/¯

I'm an outsider to the CPUSA but I've heard a bit about how on the ground, CPUSA members tend to hold a very different line from that of the leadership of the CPUSA. For example, the party line on supporting the Dems

What's your experience with this? Is there a divide between the leadership and the membership?

You linked another John Bachtell article.

I've spoken with, at the very least, my D.O. (I believe he's reaching 90 at this point) and that's not really the view that the National Committee takes.

I would say... no. There may be divergence at some points, but I wouldn't call it a divide.

The rank-and-file membership loves rediscovering old documents and old literature about the CPUSA and its vast history, such as the anti-apartheid days.

People saying that the "leadership" (which was democratically elected by us) have problems between them and the clubs honestly... are either simplifying a topic or don't know what they're talking about.

As for the Dems thing, we had a schism about this in 2014 and kicked out Sam Webb and it was literally lead by others including John Bachtell himself, though I don't know if Bachtell has had any changes of heart, and since then, Joe Sims and Rosanna Cambron are the two co-Chairs.

        Thanks for the insight!

Next question, do you learn much about the history of the party?

If so, what's the party line on the chapter of CPUSA history with regards to Earl Browder and William Z Foster?

William Z. Foster literally ousted Earl Browder from leadership and Browder was formally expelled.

I may be gone for 3 or 4 hours after 4:00 PM EST, but I'll come back and be here tomorrow as well.
