You know some of these people going "how could they give it a 9 or a 10?" are the same people that attacked and harassed anyone that gave it a score lower than a 9 before it came out lol
Just a thought, maybe some reviewers aren't fans of getting death threats for giving unreleased games a "horrible" 7/10 score, so they just spike the score slightly in order to avoid that.
There are bad reviewers, of course, but honestly, I can't say for sure I would be an impartial reviewer if I knew I could get doxxed and harrased for giving something a 7/10 -- I'd just give it an 8 and be done with it.

I mean, they should turn on it. It honestly shouldn't have been released for legacy consoles, and CDPR should have held it for six months to work on it and be up front about it not working on legacy consoles.
But, between Gamers threatening and beshitting themselves over a comparatively tiny delay, and capitalism demanding it come out on the widest array possible, this whole thing was completely predictable.
Also, gamers blaming reviewers is the dumbest shit. Reviewers get death threats if they do an honest review, so the pressure is there to give gmers what they want. It's entirely their own fault, and they cannot process that at all, so somehow they manage to blame the groups they already hate.
Turns out that when you make a game that can't run properly on any console or any PC that's not high end most people can't actually play it and will have a negative opinion of the game. This is the reason they only allowed reviewers access to the PC version, it artificially drove review scores upwards because oviously the reviewers will be playing it on their high end PC's and won't experience the problems the other 90%+ of people playing the game will.
Yep, every post on r/cyberpunkgame is basically criticizing the game (often quite validly - but it's still funny knowing how these same people were acting 3 days ago).
There is even some Metacritic downvoting -- it's at 6.5 user score right now (2.5 for consoles), TLOU2 for comparison is at 5.7 and you know how much that game was brigaded.
It's pretty hilarious over there. Half the posts are "fuck these scammers I deserve a refund!" And the other half are "am I the only one enjoying the game?"
It actually runs pretty well on my original model Xbox one. I think people are just being fucking babies because it's buggy and wasn't everything they hoped it would be.
Everything I've heard is that the PS4 has worse performance than the Xbox one. Basically High end PC >Xbox X/PS5>Xbox one>>>>PS4.
For sure PS4 performance is dreadful. Game looks like trash and crashes once an hour.
That does seem to be what I'm hearing as well.
i haven't played it myself but from what i've seen it seems pretty egregious that there is no driving AI at all and the cops spawn like 10 feet behind you. that's stuff that GTA SA had worked out in 2004, it does not seem unreasonable to expect it in a title from 2020
There are some driving NPCs but definitely not like GTA levels. It does take me out of the world a tiny bit but I'm playing more for the story than the GTA stuff. I do wish there were more pedestrians since the city is supposed to be overpopulated. Then again I'd probably be accidentally mowing then down with my car left and right.
I'm sittin here laughing just like I was for No Man's Sky
how could it have been any different?
I was scrolling through r/games and that seems to be the consensus.
