Sorry just want to vent. Right now i walk dogs for $17 an hour for ~30-35hrs a week. I might be able to get bumped to around $20 for 40 a week by the new year. I live with my parents. Im 31. This is an amazing job but unsustainable.

I worked in mental healthcare (shit pay) political canvassing (sporadic work) and did the peace corps. I also conducted a govt study for decent hours and pay but it was the worst job of my life.

I feel i have a decent amount of skills. I feel im capable of developing new ones if i get hired somewhere and am trained.

Where are all the good paying jobs? Where are all the jobs that arent gunna suck my life and soul out of me just to be able to save a few bucks? I want to move out and live independently.

All of the interesting jobs pay poverty wages. All of the decent jobs that pay OK (in my opinion 50-80k a year is OK and id be comfortable with that) but they sound gruelingly dull or something nobody is going to hire me for.

I get panic attacks (not literally just anxious and depressed) every time i open a job board. I have no ambition or aspirations. I just want a modest life. I want free time. I want to afford food water housing and electricity (internet heat and cooling included) without feeling like i can't afford mcdonalds once a month to get it.

There are so many people that are paid well live well (or decently) where are those jobs how do i get them.

I always considered plumbing. I was a poop scooper for a bit. Do not mind getting dirty at all. Plumbing is on my list of considerations. Thank you for the input :)

    I feel this.

My ambition is to take the experience of a shitty job (dirty work, long hours, low pay, potentially interesting if management didn't suck) and use it to go into business against dumbass capitalists, extending decent jobs (modest skill floor, flexible, cooperatively-run, high profit margins) to my commie friends.
