On the one hand - yea, I'm genuinely curious what got people so twisted. Is science a controversial topic now? Is it due to using the term Nazi? Calling the war preventable?

There's a difference though, here such rot will be countered, ridiculed and banned properly if needed, and on lemmy main we just observe surfacing iceberg of horrible takes (despite my respect for Dessalines, mod team there is making horrible job).
How about no. Let them seethe. It's the only way we have to show them disapproval and show people this is a principled Marxist instance by downvoting them. No shade to our mods and admins but they're busy and the liberals are many, and frankly they don't have a policy of banning them just for coming here with bad takes. They should be sunk to the bottom of the thread (only real impact it has since downvotes overall don't matter here) and 99/100 times they are. Rare is the liberal brigade that can overcome our mighty defenses.
