Too difficult for some. In the Adelaide subreddit recently there was someone complaining that their breakfast delivery from a place literally across the road was slowed down by a once-a-year fun run that had blocked off that same road for the 16,000 runners.

Christ sakes, I must be a boomer. I've survived without international students bringing me food, and still will. I honestly don't understand why anyone needs these services unless they are on the piss.

Do you live in a domicile that doesn't really have a kitchen? An increasing number of people do.

Do you work a job with shitty near unreasonable hours? Or indeed mutliple jobs? An increasing number of people do.

Sure these services are a convenience but more and more people are coming to actually rely on these services because of their suboptimal living situations.

How are living arrangements being allowed to be built without meal preparation facilities? We aren't New York or London.

Also, for the rest, it seems like a more a Yank than rest of the world problem.if you're inner city Melbourne and you can't find healthy eats close by at 5-11pm near you, you aren't trying.

Able to keep food warm for up to three hours, they are widespread in China and have been installed in 36 buildings in Melbourne so far.

It's like a PO Box, but for food I guess.

I assume this means there is some sort of locking code?

I would endorse strategic use of post-it notes with the unlock code being placed on customers that mistreat workers or who are just clearly well off enough to afford this shit.

Literally if I'm not home, I'll just pick up food on the way home myself.

All I want is post and the occasional food delivery person to actually knock or ring and pause a moment for me to get to the door.

You should realise that the pay is too low for them to be able to spend any time waiting.

I get it, but Australia Post job is to first and foremost get a package into my hands.

At no point are they a "sorry we missed you" card delivery service. Especially when im home sitting by the front door waiting and they dont even knock.

I get there is pay and quota issues. But they need to be fixed in favour of the above.
