just made a new account and I noticed you don't get to pick pronouns until after your account is made

I feel like it would make wreckers mald when trying to sign up for an account, and I think would be good practice in general. Alternatively, seeing a [none/use name] on a fresh account is sometimes a good wrecker signal.

      It was the term we adopted early on in hexbears history for people who came into the site with the specific intention of causing drama, making loads of extra work for the mods and/or harassing users

    I think it would require changes to the core user object and registration codein Lemmy, which the maintainers weren't interested in doing. I think right now pronouns are implemented as custom tags, which was the way that the maintainers wanted to do customization, in a way that was more to their liking. It's been a while since I looked at the PR though so I'm probably wrong.
