Didn't know what Vyvanse is, so, for anyone like me...
Super quick summary.
"Adderall (amphetamine and dextroamphetamine) and Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) are central nervous system stimulant medications. They are both approved to treat ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder).
Vyvanse is not approved for use for children under the age of 6. Adderall is also approved to treat the sleep disorder narcolepsy, and Vyvanse is approved by the Food and Drug Administration to treat binge eating disorder in individuals over the age of 18."
I take adderall to treat narcolepsy (along with other meds). I was like "oo, this is like adderall." But it doesn't appear to be approved for narcolepsy treatment.
Also, on topic, charging for medication is immoral and should result in... probably shouldn't say... for politicians who enable this. But even assuming a capitalist system as a given, the ingredients to make these drugs shouldn't cost more than like $10/month. This is just highway robbery. Preying on people who very likely need the drugs to function... at least under a capitalist system anyway.
Capitalism: the cause of, but never the solution to, all of life's problems.
