I've been trying to put my finger on exactly what about Ukranian propaganda makes me cringe so hard, and i figured it out: they're trying to be imposing in exactly the same way as I tried to be imposing when I was like 10 years old and didn't yet realize I was on the spectrum. This is the behavior of the "Puny Humans" kid from your elementary school, and as a former Puny Humans kid myself I am experiencing very acutely the horror of being seen.
