But that would be socialism. /s

Seriously though, housing is not enough. You need social services, health insurance, work, and transportation.

It is not a simple problem to solve. And all the social programs I have been systematically got a year after year by Republicans.

Please tell me how you’re going to fund all of this and convince all the Republicans in this fucking country to pay for these programs, build housing build infrastructure, give people medical healthcare, social services and whatever else they need. It’s not gonna happen.

In most cases housing is the answer. And money. Giving them money so they're not desperate. Programs that combine those two things have excellent outcomes.

It is not a simple problem to solve

It is a simple problem, but its difficult to resolve because of the political institutions and who controls them. The issue isn't just Republicans but the system itself. That's why nothing can be solved, not because the problems themselves are difficult

Yeah. Homelessness is one of the simplest social problems. The answer is just "give people a nice apartment and the money they need for food and shit." Bam. Problem solved. The hard part is finding a pit big enough for all the fascists standing in the way of this simple solution.

barbara-pit exactly. And we know that that is the surest way to end homelessness because it has worked everywhere they've gotten rid of the fascists and liberals
