Just finished playing ReCore. I am not sure what to make of it tbh.
On one hand the platforming is really fun, I like seeing a mountain and wondering how the hell am I going to get up there but eventually you manage to climb and jump your way up to the very top. It kinda reminds me of trying to get up a mountain in TES: Oblivion with a horse.
On the other hand the story is very thin and uninteresting, a lot of the story is told through collectible audio logs which I am just kind of sick of having to collect in video games even with platforming as fun as in ReCore.
I think I like it overall, I just wish there was more to the story and characters. I think the developers missed an opportunity to give more personality to the robot companions (or "Corebots" as there called in ReCore).
