I find this sentence inadequate. This is a waste of space in a prison. People who don't pose a physical threat shouldn't be moved to a prison. They should be mandated to pay the person they hurt and be forced into therapy to work out the source of their behaviour. Mind you, up until recently I lived in Ireland where dangerous criminals don't get put into prison, because there's no space left, so I have that bias. Sentencing him to 60 days away from the society neither compensates the victim nor helps him amend his ways. It could even have him double down through enstrangement and further develop siege mentality.
Soral was convicted repeatedly in France and sentenced to jail time in 2019 for denying the Holocaust, which is a crime in France.
