    “Elastic defense” is one of the most common, run of the mill, bog standard, standard defense tactics known to man.

    It’s probably taught on the first day of all officers schools worldwide, and on the first page of every tactics textbook.

    I like how the article acts like it’s some ancient and never before seen tactical innovation lol

      Actually the Russians are using very large rubber bands from the acme corporation strung between trees and the Ukrainians are bouncing off of them.

      There's so many parallels between the Ukrainian counteroffensive and the Germans at the Battle of Kursk that I can't believe the Ukrainian senior staff, who would have been trained in Soviet officer schools, don't see the similarities.

      Outwardly they're putting on a brave face but inwardly the must know.
