I'm too lazy to edit this to "So this is where our movement came along and finally interpreted Marx right."

I grew up in the Southern Baptist church, which was literally founded and established in defense of slavery.

    Denominations are odd for me.
I grew up Catholic, but right now idk if I actually belong to one.

I hesitate to call myself non-denominational because I feel like alot of churches that do are really just some form of evangelical protestant.
Not that there is anything wrong with protestantism or evangelicalism per se, if I had to categorize myself it would probably be some form of mainline protestant, but it seems like the term is used by a lot of sort of megachurches and the like.

Still, I think there is a rich breadth of perspective from the numerous Christian traditions throughout the world.
And while I generally think the churches lost their way in becoming so..."constantinized" and a part of feudal infrastructure, and while I prefer something more congregationalist, I don't think that means I couldn't get or learn something from Aquinas...or Saint Francis.

Idk if any of this makes sense or if I am just rambling.

    Old joke:

Once I saw this guy on a bridge about to jump. I said, "Don't do it!" He said, "Nobody loves me." I said, "God loves you. Do you believe in God?"

He said, "Yes." I said, "Are you a Christian or a Jew?" He said, "A Christian." I said, "Me, too! Protestant or Catholic?" He said, "Protestant." I said, "Me, too! What franchise?" He said, "Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Baptist or Southern Baptist?" He said, "Northern Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist or Northern Liberal Baptist?"

He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region, or Northern Conservative Baptist Eastern Region?" He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region." I said, "Me, too!"

Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1879, or Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912?" He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912." I said, "Die, heretic!" And I pushed him over.
