There's also readings by Ayn Rand and John Stuart Mill and Henry David Thoreau agony-yehaw

There's "Letter from a Birmingham Jail" too but I'm glad I only have to suffer through this for two months

Ayn Rand... in a university class...

Here's hoping that it's only there to criticize for the terrible writing and lack of critical thinking.

Community college, to be precise. And while I'd like to believe he wants us to dunk on all this garbage, he spent a fair chunk of the syllabus whining about California's requirement of stating objectives for your course because something something you can't quantify love (????) so I don't think I should go full lenin-crush-capitalism in my essays

I do need to try to talk to a counselor to see what the fuck I should actually be doing, though. I'm loosely following an out-of-date (I think?) degree requirement guideline and I'm not sure if I should just try to do an AA at the community college and transfer out of state (if that's possible) since I plan on moving out since I can't afford rent literally anywhere or transfer to a UC school and grind out a bachelor's.

eh why not? ive never been marked down for being a commie, if anything it helped my grades. i went to a conservative community college for 2 years. ive only had one bad professor but i dropped his class early after he said black people had an "unmotivated culture"

I found Thoreau really interesting but it's been a decade since I read walden

your course sounds really painful, I wish you luck going forward, hoping you can find audiobooks and blast through the bullshit

Oh god being forced to listen to all of this shit would be nightmarish

No thanks, I read super fast, so fast I skip dialogue in video games because I blast through the subtitles immediately
