I used traditional planet symbols rather than the elder futhark as I'm not a practionier of Norse paganism.

Mostly as a daily blind draw out of a bag, a long the lines of "what planetary energy should I keep on my mind today" I draw mercury so I should be aware of how I communicate. Also in the use of spells so a Jupiter rune with labradorite to make the spell more expansive/powerful. Or a saturn rune when doing a binding spell on someone. Or if I draw venus maybe being more aware of my relationships today.
