Are there any resources for searching for posts on places like facebook, instagram, twitter, etc? Nitter for twitter often does not work for me. I will use its search feature if necessary, but some more reliable alternative may be preferrable if it exists.

Nitter has a few working instances like nitter.cz (searchable), nitter.unixfox.eu, nitter.it
I think by this point they have all made their platforms sufficiently walled to make searching them near impossible. Even if you are a registered user the search capabilities seem pretty terrible.
Very true. I just hope there are still some loopholes that can be used somehow.
