Edit: Just want to clarify, Japanese is easily one of my favourite cuisines. Thai's probably #1 for me though.

    This is just a measure of cuisine prevalence. How many people polled actually know what Norwegian, UAE or Saudi Arabian cusine even is?

      Probably not many, but if they conducted the study well there shouldn't be any sampling bias in that way. The chart says "of people that have tried a cuisine."

      So it's less a measure of cuisine prevalence and more a measure of how compatible tastes are between different cultures. I think that's what they're getting at at least.
