Hey!
Well, the initial enthusiasm for the book club was definitely a lot more than the actual follow-through haha. Which is to be expected! But I can't deny that I feel no motivation to continue writing up posts and "self-advertising" on the megathread and stuff.
I would still like to continue reading feminist leftist literature for myself though :) So I'll just leave this post stickied and add which book I'm reading around the beginning of each month. If you'd like to chat about any of them, feel free to drop a comment here and maybe we can discuss them. :)
Anyway, happy women's day!
- January - Feminism for the 99%
- February - Women, Race, and Class
- March - Women's Work, Men's Property
No worries, I totally get that! It'd be way easier if there were like 10 of us - if only half can make it at any given month, that'd be no problem. But as there's like 3 of us, I'd be shouting into the void every other month and the thought's a little depressing.
My April book will probably be Feminism and Nationalism in the Third World by Kumari Jayawardena and I'm thinking of doing Why Women Have Better Sex Under Socialism by Kristen Ghodsee for May. Hope to see you for either! :heart-sickle:
