Like seriously for someone with zero experience or understanding about any gardening ever.

I have a strip of land maybe half a meter by 4 meters, I want some vegetables mayb some herbs?

Is there any resources you would recommend for an absolute beginner?

Like what plants do I chose?

How to prepare soil?

How do you keep track of everything? Pen and paper?

Where do you source seeds?

What basic tools and materials are recommended?

Apologies if this has been already asked, but I was not able to find it :deeper-sadness:

The answer is: How deep you wanna go with this garden? What sort of sun does the plot get? What's the soil like (Sandy, loamy, clay-loaded, ect)? What are you thinking of planting? What's your latitude and local climate like?

But that's going off in the weeds. Generally speaking, most food crops are pretty tolerant of whatever we've been doing to 'em for the last few millinia and will do their best to flower no matter where they are. Throw some seeds in the dirt, water em regularly, and give them some attention and they'll do something.
