Ironically the Russian army is now actually bigger, better equipped, more advanced, more experienced and vastly more competent than when this started...

NATO has depleted its arsenals only to spur Russia to awaken its enormous military industrial capabilities from the decades long slumber after the dissolution of the USSR.

    Not just Christie said this

Sen. Lyndsey Graham (R) also said this WHILE IN UKRAINE and also walking with Sen. Liz Warren (D) who didn't object to his public blood drinking.

These people aren't even lightly trying to do optics anymore. They're just straight up saying "Ukrainians are worth zero, Americans are worth [not zero]. What a great deal!"

Our best buddy in the world, literally, Israel considers one Israeli citizen to be worth about 1000 Palestinians, btw. Based on past prisoner swaps.

Hey at least Israel has told everyone. I'm not sure the US even has a number for Ukrainians. The entire population of the country might be worth less than one American. No way of knowing for sure. Someone should ask Biden his thoughts at the next presser.

Edit: I just spent... a while... trying to find the FULL video of our two buddies above (and another equally as bad ghoul) in Ukraine back in August and I'm failing to find it. I'm becoming more and more convinced that Google is doing some sort of active suppression of stories like this once people become aware of them. Like "oh shit, everyone heard Graham and Liz endorse murdering Russian and sacrificing Ukrainians on the cheap... fuck... yeah, scrub that one." And then you try to pull it up only a couple later and can't show to people who don't believe or just understandably want to see themselves.

Either that or I'm a moron

It fuels my rage every time I see people talk about an increase in military spending "only" being a small percentage of the current budget, as if the budget wasn't ridiculously bloated. The way this is phrased makes it sound as though the money came out of the Pentagon's budget, too.

You should always translate % and other statistical polish into real things.

The Pentagon budget is nearly a trillion dollars.

5% of that is 50 billion dollars.

That's enough money to build 500 schools and hospitals (or other hundred-million projects) EVERY YEAR.

That's enough money to build 500 000 3-bedroom houses EVERY YEAR

That's enough money to cover a 1000 dollar rent for 4 000 000 people FOR EVERY MONTH, EVERY YEAR

That's enough money to cook 3 solid meals for 2 000 000 people EVERY DAY, EVERY YEAR.

That 50 billion dollars could massively help to solve any of the most important issues for any society: Education, Healthcare, Homelessness, Hunger.

You know what's the kicker? That this REALLY is peanuts for the taxpayer. 50 000 000 000 comes to about 140 dollars per human in the US. If we assume 1 in 3 people are taxpayers, then that's about 420 dollars per taxpayer per year. Imagine all the problems that could be solved with that small contribution by everybody. Instead, that money is used to feed the murder addiction of senile greedy war pigs. In fact it makes you wonder, where do the rest of the taxes go to?

PS - And a funny but effective one: That's enough money to buy 20 billion beers. That means, on the 4th of July, or some other American celebration, the US could choose that instead of using this money to murder people, it could instead buy every living human on Earth a couple of beers, with enough spare to buy a 3rd round and 4th round for all the NATO members.
