This release also has a fix for the kernel panic related to unplugging your Logitech USB dongles, yay!
Critical support to NVK and nouveau work being done. I doubt it will reach performance parity with the nonfree driver, but nvidia wayland support on the base level is extremely important.
I can't wait for the day where distributions stop dancing around the nvidia driver and just ship nouveau by default (which basically means the kernel by default).
Honestly nvidia is probably the first GNU/Linux culture shock for new users.
As much as I dislike Nvidia, I will say I haven't really had any issues with my card. I've been daily driving the open kernel modules since they were released, and I've been pleasantly surprised. Not that I'd recommend to go out and buy an Nvidia card to anyone or anything, but it works for me and everything I do. I also just don't have the disposable income to switch to AMD (or Intel, although I'm not sure if Arc's drivers are the best either), so I will be riding my Nvidia card until it's last breath.
