Forgive if this is a dumb question.
I'm curious to know if its possible at all for the backups of this lemmy instance to be public so that anyone is able to backup this lemmy instance if ever the admins decide to stop this lemmy instance.

Much of it is already backed up through federation. And if it's not, it's pretty easy to abuse API access to get a copy of a lot of the data.
