I've been playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and started wondering which factions this site preferred.
Clear Sky and the Ecologists are pretty liberal Green, they're not terrible.
Loners are great, they just want to drink and eat tushonka and steal things.
Military and Duty are Ukrainian so make your own conclusions there.
Freedom is ideologically and operationally good. They have the second-best fashion sense. They're anarchists who aren't just liberals calling themselves anarchists (No I don't think that most anarchists are liberals calling themselves anarchists please don't yell at me). I prefer them.
The Bandits are the Bandits. They have great taste in music but they're rapists, they're murders, and some I'm assuming are good people. We have to build a wall around the Garbage and Dark Valley.
The Monolith are extreme grenade and geology enthusiasts, the Zone's 2 Gs. They have the best fashion sense. I would join them if I could.
The Mercenaries were a mistake and the Zone is really good about killing them on sight. You should too, they're very ideologically suspect.
Yes but those guys are the Azov Battalion or actual Ukrainian military.
Freedom because no other faction has 2 guys argue with each other over intercoms.
Gotta go with Freedom; why shouldn't we kick back, smoke a J and try and befriend the Zone? It might be chill. Duty are boring fascist dorks, the Military are corrupt trigger happy arseholes, Mercs and Bandits seem pretty sus and I've never liked a bully (although Bandit radio is great), Monolith are 2 spooky 4 me.
I always help out the Loners where I can though, and the nerd in me appreciates what Clear Sky and the Scientists are doing, even if they probably sometimes dabble with dangerous stuff they don't understand.
Duty: they want to destroy the zone, they give all their artefacts to the ecologists, they don't put out hits on chill neutral stalkers, they're not CIA stooges trying to do a color revolution in the zone with top-shelf NATO equipment.
I liked the rookies and the freedom hippie guys. Duty or w/e they were called were fascists. The military are cops. Scientists are alright I suppose. Bandits are just for the memes.
I'd always figured I would hang with the Loners but Freedom is based as well
