Assuming anisocial is stable I would think migrating could be better. I also checked ani.social seems to be federating fine with other instances like lemmy.world and even beehaw (which are known to be more strict).
Side note regarding .ml domain:
On a side note with lemmy.ml a similar instance fmhy.ml effectivly got shutdown due to their domain being taken (.ml country domain). lemmy.ml seems to be managing fine but ani.social (.social) seems to be using a top level domain which may pose less of a risk to loss of domain.
