They'll unironically point out Bolivia (even if they hate it's controlled by le dreaded socialists) as a example without realizing that the voting required the struggle and murder of countless indigenous Bolivians at the hands of state police to reinforce to Anez how they'd have a outright rebellion if they didn't capitulate.

  • Yeah it's kind of hard to not admit that he was a racist given all his various elements in his works as well as the name he bestowed his cat. I wonder though if factor in this sentiment was due to his self imposed isolation and likely untreated manic depressive moods (given that his mother was lobotomized Lovecraft feared any kind of psychological aid and is likely why he portrays madhouses as such hellscapes).

  • For me I think "Gamers" are the culmination of societal alienation and the merging of other fringe groups such as incels, Gamergate enthusiasts, far right peeps, and individuals on the "black pill" trip. Of note now is how easily many far right groups co-opted many different former internet culture websites (4chan and its many videogame and hobby boards come to mind).

  • Truth in that, there's a distinction between being a Gamer and someone that on occasion plays videogames (but also has other things going on in their lives so they have more than a mono pillar personality "i.e. Gamer 4 Life" shit). Also gaming can be a area of competition in which individuals can otherwise achieve dopamine highs from beating other opponents. Honestly I don't know much of the online scene, most of my gaming is done via single player play once experiences that I relate tot he same way one would watch a movie or read a book (not good books but ya know average fun junk media).

I support the ideology of self-actualized euthanasia (this is from me experiencing one grandparent die from ever progressive cancer and personally wished that he could just "end it"), but yes it is rife with the possibility of abuse within our current system and is something that should only be used within a post-capitalist system in which human lives and health conditions are not commodified.
