There's a strong inference to the point of being pretty obvious but the infographic doesn't explicitly say that the person on the left owns the magazine on the right so I checked the first two to confirm that's the case.

The important part is that, as I understand it, Americans aren't restricted to traveling to Cuba. You can't go without a reason, but that reason can be "Support for the Cuban people". That should be the reason for your visit. And you're restricted from using government owned businesses. But you can go and experience the country.
Re: Obama specifically. The fact that you can even do that much is thanks to Obama . He's responsible for the loosening of travel restrictions.
Huh. I hadn't considered that. I dislike the platform and liked the idea of it being blocked, but I hadn't considered it as a limitation of free speech.

Maybe conky but probably not?
Conky can be used to display text on your desktop, including grabbing stdout from a program. I'm not familiar with calcurse but if it can dump text output of what you want, that could work.
The big caveat is that conky doesn't work with wayland. It's a work in progress (according to the arch wiki, anyway).
A quick search tells me that mac mini's have ethernet. Are you able temporarily connect that way to fetch the wifi drivers?
