You probably installed the graphical one. emacs-nox is command-line only and significantly smaller.

emacs
I realize half of you people never touch it, but come on. It's not that large a package these days.
All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one. Romans 3:12
You're right. There's no billionaire who has done good. But there's also no human who has done good either.
Plexamp is pretty good. I use it on Mac and Android.
I think a better request is to get your client to show you just the communities from a particular instance in your feed, rather than actually switching instances to browse.
I included a YouTube link as well. It's only 60 seconds.

Sometimes I remember to check out Mastodon.
Any scene where people talk in the prequels.
Probably wondering what the heck these people are doing in his field
I'm sure there's some debate on the exact number but around 17 million is the typical number.
Name one and I'll show you how it has anti capitalist policies
I thought videos wouldn't be all that political. But it's a lot political, even if the video itself isn't political. And there were a few others I looked into. But.. I'm just going to nope out of all of them.
There aren't any poor capitalist countries.
What are you talking about dude?
Stalin killed way more people than the Nazis did. Nazis and Satlin were both horrid and evil. Don't even pretend that there's any redeeming qualities of Stalinism.
You can always block the users that are the worst.
FWIW I did not have a good experience with hexbear communities. I had originally subscribed to a few that weren't particularly political. But apparently they're all political.
However, my response was to unsubscribe from all hexbear communities.
I could block the instance with the app I'm using, but I haven't gone that far yet. I didn't think it was necessary.
So... While I'm personally vehemently opposed to much of the politics hexbear represents, I also don't think we need to defederate. At least not at this point.
Circular economy is a better term.
Closed-loop economy would be more like all money used is also generated within the system. No money is added or subtracted from the community.
But whatever... I get what they're talking about.
Closed loop... Except for the government taxes. And the financials which will likely not be home grown. And the outside regulations, inspections, state compliance, health care, etc, etc.
I'm all for a closed loop society. But even a government as "free" as the USA would never allow that.
Still I applaud their efforts. Maybe the headline is a bit misleading though
lemm.ee and lemmy.one have a bunch of good communities. The star trek communities are on their own instance.
So yes. There's a ton of important and good communities that aren't on the two biggest instances. I mean... This is the nature of federation
Literally every engagement from hexbear is political. I mostly don't want to talk politics on Lemmy.
