I’m not yet finished with the first season but after some build up it has had some really nauseatingly good moments. I think at the moment though, the most horrifying aspect is the society it’s building up.

Yeah for real, the way the good gods are introduced as "civilized alternatives" and then are revealed to still be so awful. The slag king sticks out and so do the stewards (the train ppl) particularly. I'm sympathetic to your audio issues I have the same issue with this and the magnus archives on most platforms, but the (proprietary ) podcast app I use now, pocket casts, has this lil voice boost feature that makes them a bit more listenable.
The grinding lord is so strange I wasn't really paying attention to the state of the radio guy until now and he's really going through it
Just worked through episode 7 and yeah the world building and writing is incredible. I’ll look forward to encountering her in that case!
Do I need to finish the Magnus archives before listening to the Magnus protocol? I’ve heard amazing things but I’ve been loving going through it blind and I didn’t want to risk spoiling anything by jumping to it so soon
