I think it depends on where you're coming from. If you're coming from an AuthLeft perspective then you're definitely going to feel that way because a lot of his content is "fuck tankies," but I think for socialist ideas and combating Nazis he can be pretty useful. I like a lot of his takes (great perspective of the current protests, for example) but I do think he can take the edginess too far. I personally don't like how he talks down to religious/spiritual people (Wiccans, Christians, Muslims, etc.) but I do think he has a particular way of branding himself beneficial to the deradicalization of the Alt-Right. I think a lot of his controversies are unfounded, and he published a video of all of them if you want to check it out. I do wish we would stop obsessing so much about YouTube streamers (either intense hatred or parasocial tendencies) and should really work on triangulating our sources as a group.
