How in the world would I coup the admins? It was a joke. Being a dev (I'm not really, I've contributed no code to the site, just a bit to lemmy) doesn't give me some special power to make myself an admin. Any attempt to do so through the site's code would never get accepted. I have literally no control over what code gets pushed.
Edit: also that had nothing to do with my ban, or if it did it wasn't mentioned in the reason.
