Yeah that seems to have scared her off I guess. She was super excited to adopt with me. this was going to be a 50-50 partnership kinda things but oh well
Her reason is that she has maintained the couch and the dining table well and that she could get back a decent amount of she sold them today. I personally don't think it's that expensive but if that's how she feels, so be it.
I even offered to cover any costs, and even train the cat. Whatever I guess. I'll get one once I move to my own place in the future 😭
I'm so annoyed... surely there's something she's not telling me. Gah!! I'm gonna go take a walk and get a haircut or something
Bit of a sad update. I was so excited about adopting a cat and now my housemate is having second thoughts. She just found out cats scratch furniture and is afraid that her furniture will get spoilt. I see where she's coming from so I offered to pay for any costs but then just said if either of us is having second thoughts best not to go ahead as I don't want it to cause problems down the line.
Also told my boss I'm taking a sickie for the rest of the day as I'm so deflated now. Sigh. I have to call up cat lady to cancel our appointment. 😞
I live in a carpeted apartment so I will need to clean a bit more regularly (which is ok!) so I can't wash outside unfortunately! Although I could wash indoors and let dry in the balc.
About the lounger, do you just stick it on a window?
Of course but will pick some up from Kmart
What do I need?
Awesome! Any recs for scratching tower / food / litter or is that all personal to the catto? Where do you get a nice quality tower? Don't mind spending a bit more if it means the quality is much higher
Hello brain trust, back with some more catto questions. First, super exciting news, we're going on Saturday to the shelter to meet the cat we've selected woohooo!
The amazing cat lady has sent over a shopping list, and after some of my own research, I have made a list of items that I might need and I need some recs / suggestions for these as I don't know where to start.
Here we go:
I have found this window lounger which I kinda like https://www.petbarn.com.au/all-day-window-lounger-cat-furniture-grey thots?
I don't mind spending a bit to try out different foods and see what the cat likes as I will be splitting bills with my housemate. We're both adopting the cat together (ownership undecided, because we both equally want to adopt. Hopefully we can figure it out down the line, or get another cat and we can take it from there!
Pleasantly surprised that we didn't go over 25c today
Thank you for the tip!
Unfortunately not, I think it was one of the last pieces 😪
Possibly but I like the shirt and would like to size down. Also it's country road and I got it for cheap
Something that makes me beg for its love
This is all incredibly helpful. I thought about messaging you so thank you!!
About your point on the single kitten syndrome, does this also apply to a single adult? Say 2years or older.
I might not go for an adult cat because I don't think I'll be able to provide the care it might require and also finances permitting.
Ordered an overshirt from the Country Road outlet but it's a bit big for me. Anyone know any where I (M) could get it altered? Country Road stores won't take it because it's from the outlet 🙄
Awesome advice. Thanks mate!
Exactly! The first time I got it I was in the city and close to a CommBank store so I went in and asked what's going on. The lady said yeah we know about it and we're trying to fix this 🤷♂️
