So, Gattica?
The comments on that website are complete garbage. The passenger filled out Delta's assistance form in advance like required and reminded them on the flight of her allergy. Delta seriously dropped the ball by not modifying the meal on her flight or contacting her in advance about how best to accommodate her. Even if they couldn't accommodate her day-of they should at least refund her ticket if they couldn't make appropriate arrangements for her.
Is this a community, or is this a circlejerk? I don't think categorizing beginners who don't know where to start as leeches creates the kind of environment people of all knowledge levels want to spend time in. You don't personally have to educate them, but telling them off for asking is pretty rude.
You could look at it another way- a solar power screen on a phone won't charge it all the way, but as a secondary source of power that is essentially always on when the sun is up or other light sources are on, it reduces the battery drain over the day, meaning less charging needed at night.
They've actually slightly improved this lately, they ask about what they determine are risky sexual behaviors (ie hookups) with no gender attached now. The one thing is that you can't be actively taking PrEP and donate because it would obscure the HIV testing results (that they ought to be doing every time, multiple times!).

How to Get Investigated as a Communist in One Easy Step!
There's no such thing as free energy overall, but there is within a frame of reference. The sun acts as "free energy" to the reference frame of Earth but obviously comes from its fusion reaction radiating energy. Similarly, if you hold the sensor as the reference frame, it's getting "free" energy from magnetic fields that wouldn't be used otherwise. So I don't think it's wrong to describe that way! Passive energy collection is pretty neat.
Arecibo radio telescope was doing something like this, until it was destroyed by a hurricane.
