People with older relatives especially will love this becoming the norm

Under socialism phones will have physical buttons, maybe even physical keyboards, you will be able to open them and repair/upgrade them until 15 years pass and you need a new one, while booting you will be presented with a stalin-stoic splash screen and a small area under where you can see the logs. Anything else is revisionism.

  • This talk about "evil" and making him out to be more than he really is personally only serves to turn the gaze away from class struggle as a whole imo. Elon isn't evil because he is a bad apple that got blinded by greed, he is evil because he is a capitalist and his class interests are directly in opposition to those of the working class. He is no more and no less evil than any other capitalist of his league, despite some of the others not having shit for brains like Elon does and knowing when to shut the fuck up and keep their presence on the low, or even try to create a positive and progressive image in order to exploit the working class with their consent.

  • I've been seeing way too much of this shit lately and by real people irl as well, fuck the fascists spreading their propaganda like a godamn pandemic. People waste away on bullshit soul draining jobs for a system that sees them as expendable profit machines, but the thing they decide to get enraged upon and talk about is their tv series not being dominated by white straight males. This shit is so frustrating honestly doomer

Afaik the implementation of Lemmy this is a real problem due to federation to other instances, you can post things here that end up somewhere you don't want them to and if you delete them it's not certain if they will also be deleted there as well. It's been stated for a long time but it's one or the other really, you can't have a decentralized social media without federation, and you can't have full privacy with federation. I might very likely be wrong about the specifics of this, but this should be also taken in account when considering to post something more personal.
