i have heard vaguely that scientific consensus on the benefits has become more concrete in like, the last 5 years or so. haven't actually done the reading just heard people say this. it does seem to have varying effects for different people, but I'd say give it a go and see how you feel. for sure it helps with mood and overall well-being for a lot of folks. the first time i got on it i had to stop for a bit because it made my mood swings really intense. but ultimately i decided i prefer being on it and dealing with intense emotions because it's preferable to feeling like a zombie off of it (I have chronic depression so not universal just my experience)
lol, lmao
the last time I used windows 10 I was completely unable to turn off Windows update, I think they took away that ability from the user at some point
i mean me either but i see the appeal. if i had the money it's for sure something i would do. i understand you though, it's fair.
i know it's really a struggle, I've been there many times. it's just something i always have to call comrades out on, like be nicer to yourself grrr
agree with the first part, second part it just depends. it's often a better experience too, just depends on hardware setup like how good your internet is, do you have the tech know how for something like a plex server or do you just want simplicity. just saying there are use cases for physical blu rays, they are still very popular for a reason. i torrent all my shit but I still see the appeal of the simplicity of a physical collection. when I run into annoying plex bugs for the fifth time in a day it makes me wish i just had the disk. + public trackers have been getting worse and worse and a lot of people don't want to fuck around with making subtitles work on torrented media which can be a huge pain. i would say that blu ray takes away a lot of hassle, sure it's at a monetary cost but it's worth it for a lot of people.
degradation is just as much of a concern with flash media, just takes a different form. + with all your data centralized like that, your shit is more at risk.
"silly" is allowed hehe. your feelings are valid, just try to be mindful about shitting on yourself for them using actually mean words. it's not a healthy habit to build. you wouldn't talk about another person in your position that way, try to be at least as nice to yourself.
i strongly disagree, it seems to be a natural response to the growing cost and unreliability of streaming type setups. people just like watching movies/playing games or whatever and want to own shit instead of just rent a license to use it that can be revoked whenever, that's the main reason. saying it's "just" what you said is very reductive.
physical movies and steam games are not remotely in the same category as relates to ownership.
she caught a 5 day for saying the t slur, i think it's a bit harsh for a user who's been around this community for a while but not looking to start a struggle sesh about it or anything lol
try not to bully yourself about it:( i know it's a hard habit to break but being mean to yourself is no good. you're not pathetic or weird or a loser for having very common human feelings.
fuuuuuuuck off lol get the fuck outta here you democrat defending loser debatelord. are you even trans? it doesn't feel like you're coming from a place of good faith.
glad we could settle this matter
oh the misery
