Well, I ran the demo for 3DMark. My Time Spy score is “Great” but all the other tests are behind a paywall

It doesn't happen with every game though and isn't always connected to the GPU being under high load, which makes me think it might be something to do with loading things from memory etc.
One crash trigger I've noticed is alt-tabbing back into a game after doing somerthing else for a while. It seems to just die when it tries to resume whatever was going on
The thought of reinstalling EVERYTHING down to every GIMP plugin makes me want to go :a-guy: and go live in a cabin somewhere
Would cloning my current Windows installation to another SSD and then replacing my C: drive with it do the trick?
I let it do its thing overnight- the version I used was the free version of the non-open source one though so it didn't look like I could tweak parameters much. I'll try again with MemTest86+
The thing is though, I can go for days or weeks without crashing if I stay away from certain games and programs. Things like GTAV or modded Bethesda games run through mod managers seem to trigger it
I've been planning on replacing all three by Summer anyway, but I'd like to rule out my SSD and HDDs, GPU and PSU
There ARE two phantom disks that are constantly getting disconnected, and spamming Event Viewer- disks 4 and 5. (I only have 0, 1, 2, and 3). I'm guessing one or both are related to the program I use for mounting ISOs, maybe
All of my programs though :kitty-cri:
I suppose I've been fixating on the BSOD error messages too much. I also didn't think it would help uncover hardware issues
Haven't done anything to either lately
I've used whocrashed to check the dumps, it says the more common UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION is "This is a typical software problem. Most likely this is caused by a bug in a driver." while saying the other error is likely due to memory corruption.
I'll try running more tests
I've also tried sfc /scannow, it said everything was ok

Can you do a "You will never be a real communist" version of this copypasta next, thanks
