If I’m honest, I don’t really understand what you’re saying. It sounds like he’s embarrassed/upset after trying to be helpful and do a good job and having it thrown back in his face. And your response seems to be “well, you’re a man so I see her point”? That’s so far out of left field that I honestly don’t know how to respond.

I think there’s a disconnect here. You’re saying that every state uses violence to maintain their rule/internal stability, which is true. But you’re responding in a thread that’s pointing out how weird it is to support LGBT rights on the one hand and support Russia and China on the other, where same-sex couples are not treated equally under the law. So I’m not asking “why are you ok with state-monopolized force”. I’m asking “why are you ok with these particular states”.

The fact that it’s a “political extremist forum” is actually a pretty compelling argument for defederation.

People have only had luck with me when they’ve spoken English. Otherwise it’s hard for me to understand their answers to such questions as “your place or mine?” or “dear god what are you gonna do with that spatula?!”.

Easier public transit between me and my workplace. My workplace is in a major city, but I live a 30 minute drive away and there’s no public transit connection available.
