That is incredibly unfortunate, as I don't exactly want a bunch of plugged in 24/7 lithium batteries sitting around. I'd rather take the extra time to take them to the recycler than risk missing a spicy pillow.

Is there a way to run these phones without the batteries? I have several android phones that are old/no longer getting updates I’d love to repurpose but don’t really want a bunch of batteries sitting juiced up around the house all the time…
This has to do with encryption protocols. Offhand my assumption is either they are trying to be extra cautious as the rules are incredibly complex, or they have a different algorithm included by default that would be subject to those rules.
install Debian the way you want up through the apps you need. Then it off and use it as a clone to copy for all your setups as needed.
Public opinion matters when you’re trying to sell a candidate, and the short memory of her doing the same stupid thing in 2016 and shooting her campaign in the foot is frankly depressing.
Why do they keep giving her a microphone???
About a year ago now, it is possible they’ve changed things since.
The one time i published on the play store I just skipped that part and hit publish. I think it took several days to go live the first time but otherwise didn’t seem to matter.
I thought this was the onion community for a serving looking at that picture!
Have you tried booting from a live image? I’d try downloading something with a live option like Ubuntu to a flash drive, and then trying to mount the drive from that. Anecdotally I had massive issues with Manjaro a while back where it would “lose” access to entire usb bays on the motherboard that didn’t happen in Debian etc.
I had to use the script twice because I did something stupid the first time but honestly the worst case is you try again!
I honestly haven’t tried, but I have seen this gesture support in the AUR
I’m running arch on my Chromebook I followed the wiki for WiFi then ran the arch install command and set up xfce4. That worked with xbacklight and hot keys setup. I needed a script from mrchromebox to get the speakers working as well but everything else worked out of the box.
A quick Google search on analytics brought up Plausible which looks like it would be more in line with OSS principles.
It’d be nice if they actually just finally did that!
Found the answer on npr:
It's difficult to unravel whether the meat itself, or some constituent of the meat, may explain the increased risk of diabetes. Another possible explanation is, people who consume a lot of red meat may have other things in common that could drive up their risk. For instance, excess body weight is a key risk factor for developing type 2 diabetes.
It turned out, the participants in the study who consumed high amounts of red meat also had higher BMIs. They consumed more calories and were less physically active compared to those who consumed the least red meat. Researchers used statistical methods to adjust for confounding variables. "We found that about half of the excess risk with red meat consumption was explained by excess body weight," Willett says, "but there was still an increased risk [of developing diabetes] even after taking into account body weight," he says.
So basically 50% of the risk was lack of activity/obesity, with the other half variable risks from things like (possibly even primarily) red meat.
Any idea if they controlled for other factors? Like were those who are the most red meat also the most likely to overeat etc?
It sounds fascinating but there’s almost no details unless you purchase a day pass to view the journal
I know you the author doesn’t seem to want to hear about Home Assistant, but it does have the HomeKit integration they want and you have the fine tuned control the want too!
pretty much, mozzarella sticks are basically just those, breaded and fried into a stick of delicious heart attack juice
The battery doesn’t look removable on those?
