Until you realize that their implementation of AI, whatever that means, in their case is mediocre, and nothing more than a marketing term.
As with everything Samsung tends to do I’ll bet the AI stuff is half baked.
I bet they do some thing like make it optional on the iPhone and the user needs to turn that setting on to get RCS. Obviously most users don’t care and will never look.
How many elections have they won since 2006?
I pay for YouTube premium, but it's a lot of money given they have $0 production cost.
The only thing holding me back is finding a way to only view new posts.
Well I suspect we are looking at this problem through a very simple lens. The billionaires are not necessarily using that money. It is out there being invested and also being loaned out to start new businesses startups etc. if you just handed it to the government assuming it will be better spent or invested is a big leap.
Well, I'm not so sure about that. If you take that wealth and let the government decide how to spend it, you are assuming it will reach those who need it. I'm not so sure that is the case.
I completely agree. At this point, I really just don't understand the Republican party. I'm somebody that has always considered myself to be on the side of smaller government and conservative in general but this Republican party does not represent me.
Lenin and Stalin would have moved you up in the party quickly. You're family now would probably be an oligarchy. You were born to late. Think of all the expensive yachts and million dollar homes you could have today?
And if 95% still leaves them with more than you have you will feel that that rate needs to go higher.
I agree we should have a more progressive tax. The problem is fair is a relative term. When is fair fair enough? The fact is the underlying problem is overspending and no amount of "fair" increases to the tax rate is going to solve that problem.
Yes not seeing read seems pointless without this option.
Oh, that would explain why other apps such as Bean and Avery become unresponsive if I scroll a lot of unread posts. Thanks for the detailed explanation. I would have no problem with implementing this locally until lemmy has a solution at the API level. If those read marks could be in iCloud, that would be a bonus.
I don’t think down voting is the right approach. I do think we need someway of not having our feed filled with stuff we don’t necessarily care about. Having said that, I also don’t like the idea of having to specify what I don’t care about. Maybe hide all read, but never hide Anything Up Voted.
I maintain my account for reference, but rarely visit unless I'm searching for something unavailable here. All my interactions take place here.
If communities are never even given a view of the offending posts, they will obviously never be able to participate in the solution. I think communities that don’t address offending posts can and should be banned at the server level. Unless it is handled this way, then I guess server operators take complete ownership of the issue. I’m not even touching the topic of what constitutes an offending posts, which lends itself to all kinds of mis interpretations.
Well, in that case, I think the Fediverse is in serious trouble. You will end up with too much fragmentation in how servers handle this sort of thing; it's definitely going to keep happening and probably get worse. I think delegating to the community of forum participants to handle the problem is in the spirit of the Fediverse. In either case, I admit it's up to each server owner to do what they feel is best. I suspect the Noster model of dumb repeaters is a better model.
Well as always users that did nothing wrong are the ones that suffer. I think banning images is overkill. Let the forum police themselves. It’s the way this is supposed to work. Just banning images site wide is pretty draconian and defeats the purpose of the fediverse. Blocking any images that could contain any level of nudity is also overkill. I’ll probably move to a self hosted server eventually.
It’s great to see your financials. I see you are ahead but I am going to get my monthly donation going again.
