There are massive blooms of maybe? edible mushrooms, big white fuckers wider than my hand, regularly around my apartment complex but they are definitely in the Dog Shit Zones (because that zone is "everywhere" nobody picks up their damn dog doodoos)
fungi eat decaying material but why would I want to eat something that's living in dog poop that might have worms in it when I could eat mushrooms that come from wood mulch
