It does suck how you have to keep on top of this shit so you know what someone is trying to say when you hear a less-than-half-remembered version of it next month. The shit I heard from the libs in my life about Evo Morales being a vicious genocidal election manipulating dictator, and a month later I wanted to rub it in their faces how I was right and they're all "what's a Bolivia??"
It takes a lot of energy to have to be simultaneously more and less engaged in news media than the people around you.
