    Ah yes, I was too corrupt to have this power, so now instead that power lies with several of my close supporters that I hand chose to hold that power. Yep, that’ll solve the problem.

    If you actually wanted to get rid of that problem either do away with pardons all together or have that council be chosen by like, the Georgia house, Georgia senate, some organization of legal experts, random lottery, or basically any method that isn’t the equivalent of me placing my phone across the room to stop me checking Twitter.

      They're confirmed by the State Senate.

      So like, I guess right now in practice that results in "Ah yes, I was too corrupt to have this power, so now instead that power lies with several of my close supporters that I hand chose to hold that power - BUT DON'T WORRY - they still need to have the rest of the people they bankrolled into office ALSO rubber stamp them. Yep, that’ll solve the problem."
