reddit people believe they are strong enough to do hard labor and not minced by cannibalistic tribe

The CEO of reddit-logo fantasizes about being a slaver warlord in the fantastical Fallouterino wastes, and even bragged about getting his vision surgically corrected so he could "snipe looters." bakunin-immortan

    unironic main character symptom

The cognitohazard plague of "what if everything simulation" and its almost inevitable followup "what if everyone but me and people I like are NPCs" is a part of that too. my-hero

Spez is absolutely someone who would think that and get instantly merced by his operator 2IC he hired under shady circumstances before the apocalypse.

Techbros worry a lot about how to keep the help in line after what they often call "the Event." In private conference, according to eyewitness testimony, they usually resort to talking about bomb collars. so-true

I know soldiers are not exactly the smartest or most delicate people, but uh... idk, I hope they try this sort of thing in person

You don't need to be a CEO to have this mindset. Look at war tourism, most of the gravy seals who go to war think they can pulverize some third world people while listening to phonk is just pure cope. We all know that some poor local with nothing to lose are all to gain can pop those main characters (tm) with a rusty AK while wearing sandals.
